Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TPredMarket, including its website, applications, prediction markets, community features, subscriptions, creator tools, payment features and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
1. Introduction and acceptance
The Platform is operated by TPREDMARKET TECHNOLOGY AFRICA LIMITED (“TPredMarket”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing the Platform or using any of its features, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the relevant services.
Additional terms may apply to particular features, subscriptions, promotions, creator programmes or regulated services. Where applicable, those terms will be presented separately.
2. Eligibility and age requirements
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Platform.
Certain features may require additional age, identity, location, eligibility or financial checks. Meeting the minimum age requirement does not automatically qualify you for every feature.
You agree to provide accurate, complete and current registration information and to update it when necessary.
You must not create an account using another person’s identity, impersonate another person, misrepresent your age or maintain multiple accounts to evade restrictions.
We may refuse access or suspend an account where we reasonably believe that eligibility requirements have not been met.
3. Geographic availability and legal compliance
TPredMarket may make different features available in different countries, regions or jurisdictions.
The availability of the Platform does not mean that every feature is legally available in every location. Real-money prediction features will be offered only where TPredMarket has determined that the necessary legal and regulatory requirements have been satisfied, including any applicable authorisations, restrictions and payment requirements.
Where real-money features are unavailable or restricted, TPredMarket may offer a test-credit or other non-monetary experience where lawful. Test-credit access does not authorise a user to circumvent a geographic restriction, identity check or other legal requirement.
You are responsible for complying with applicable laws when using the Platform. We may restrict features, suspend accounts or block transactions where necessary to comply with law, regulatory requirements, payment-provider rules or risk controls.
Nothing in these Terms represents that TPredMarket holds a particular licence or regulatory approval unless we expressly identify that approval and it has actually been obtained.
4. Accounts and account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity carried out through your account, subject to applicable law.
You must notify us promptly at support@tpredmarket.online if you suspect unauthorised access, account compromise or misuse.
We may require additional verification to protect your account, verify your identity, investigate suspicious activity or comply with legal obligations.
We may temporarily restrict access while investigating suspected fraud, security incidents, identity discrepancies or unauthorised transactions.
You must not:
- Share, sell, rent or transfer your account without our written permission.
- Attempt to access another person’s account.
- Circumvent security, verification or geographic controls.
- Use bots, scripts or automated tools to manipulate Platform activity without authorisation.
- Exploit errors, vulnerabilities or payment-processing defects.
5. Prediction markets and market creation
Prediction markets allow users to participate in eligible prediction activities and view associated market information.
Markets may be created and published by TPredMarket staff or creators approved by TPredMarket. Ordinary users do not automatically have permission to publish markets.
We may review, edit, delay, suspend, reject, correct or remove a market where reasonably necessary for accuracy, safety, compliance, integrity or operational reasons.
Each market should provide applicable information such as its question, outcome options, closing time, resolution criteria and relevant settlement rules. Market-specific rules form part of these Terms.
Users must review a market’s wording and resolution criteria before participating. If a market is ambiguous, materially incomplete or affected by an unforeseen event, TPredMarket may apply its published market rules, request clarification, pause the market or void it where appropriate.
Market availability, participation limits and settlement procedures may differ between real-money and test-credit modes.
6. Real-money features and test credits
The Platform may support both real-money features and test-credit experiences, subject to availability and applicable restrictions.
6.1 Real-money activity
Real-money transactions may be subject to identity verification, eligibility checks, transaction limits, fees, payment-provider rules and additional terms.
You must use payment methods that you are authorised to use. We may delay, reject, reverse or investigate transactions where required by law, a payment provider or a reasonable fraud-prevention measure.
We will disclose applicable fees and material transaction conditions before the relevant transaction is completed, where required by law.
Real-money participation involves the possibility of losing money. We do not guarantee any outcome, profit, payout or financial return.
6.2 Test credits
Test credits are intended for the Platform’s designated simulated or non-monetary experiences.
Unless a feature’s expressly published rules and applicable law state otherwise, test credits:
- Have no cash value.
- Are not a bank deposit, electronic money balance or investment.
- Cannot be withdrawn, redeemed, transferred or exchanged for money.
- Do not guarantee eligibility for a cash prize or real-money payout.
- May be subject to allocation limits, expiry, adjustment or removal under the applicable feature rules.
Test credits must not be used to circumvent restrictions on real-money services.
6.3 Balances and records
Where supported, your account may display balances, transaction histories, predictions, positions or pending settlements.
Displayed balances or transaction statuses may be subject to reconciliation, processing delays, verification, corrections and applicable settlement rules.
We may correct a demonstrable accounting or technical error, but will not use this provision to disregard valid user rights or applicable law.
7. Fees, subscriptions and billing
Some Platform features may be free, while others may require payment, a subscription or a transaction fee.
Before you commit to a paid service, we will present the applicable price, billing interval and material conditions through the relevant purchase flow.
Fees may change with notice. Changes will take effect at the time stated in the notice, subject to applicable law and any required user consent. A price change will not retroactively alter a completed transaction unless a correction is legally justified.
Subscriptions may renew automatically if this is clearly disclosed during purchase. The applicable cancellation procedure, renewal date and refund conditions will be shown in the subscription flow or associated plan terms.
You are responsible for charges validly incurred through your account, subject to applicable consumer-protection rights.
8. Deposits, withdrawals, refunds and cancellations
Available payment methods and processing times depend on your location, verification status, the payment provider and the relevant feature.
A displayed processing estimate is not a guarantee of a specific settlement time.
Refunds, withdrawals and other balance adjustments will be handled under the applicable transaction rules, market rules, subscription terms and law.
Where a market is cancelled, voided or materially affected by an error, the applicable market rules will determine the treatment of eligible stakes, positions, balances and settlements. Any refund or reversal will be processed through an appropriate method where possible.
Valid outstanding positions may be settled under the published market rules before account closure is completed. Where immediate settlement is not possible, we may retain the information and funds reasonably necessary to complete the process, subject to applicable law.
We may delay or refuse a transaction where necessary to investigate fraud, satisfy verification requirements, comply with a lawful order or prevent an unauthorised payment.
Nothing in these Terms removes a refund, withdrawal or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Market resolution and disputes
TPredMarket aims to resolve markets consistently using the criteria published for each market.
Our general resolution approach is:
- Review the market’s stated resolution criteria and relevant evidence.
- Consult reliable sources appropriate to the question, including official sources where available.
- Seek at least two independent sources where reasonably practicable.
- Where sources materially conflict, conduct a manual review before making a determination.
- Record or communicate a correction or clarification where appropriate.
Two sources are not necessarily independent merely because they publish the same underlying report. The reliability, relevance and independence of evidence matter.
TPredMarket will make the operational resolution decision in accordance with the applicable market rules, subject to any stated review process and applicable law.
Users may submit a dispute through the Platform’s designated support or appeal channel. A dispute should identify the market, the contested outcome and the relevant evidence.
We may correct a resolution where there is a material error, newly available reliable evidence, fraud, a technical defect or another reason permitted by the applicable rules.
We do not guarantee that every dispute will result in a changed outcome or that all disputes can be resolved within a fixed period.
10. Community features and user content
The Platform may include TALKS, comments, likes, follows, creator profiles and other social features.
You retain any rights you hold in content you create. By submitting content to the Platform, you grant TPredMarket a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute and technically adapt that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, promote and improve the Platform, subject to applicable law and your privacy rights.
This licence continues only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purposes, including where content is retained in backups or records required by law.
You are responsible for the content you publish and must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.
You must not publish content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, harassing, deceptive, privacy-invasive, infringing or intended to manipulate markets or mislead other users.
You must not share another person’s private information without an appropriate lawful basis or permission.
We may moderate, label, restrict or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law. We may also restrict accounts involved in repeated or serious violations.
11. Prohibited conduct and market integrity
You must not:
- Manipulate a market or coordinate deceptive participation.
- Use stolen funds, fraudulent payment methods or another person’s identity.
- Exploit confidential information in violation of law or applicable market rules.
- Interfere with market resolution or attempt to corrupt evidence.
- Use the Platform for money laundering, sanctions evasion or other unlawful conduct.
- Harass users, impersonate others or abuse reporting and appeal systems.
- Reverse-engineer, disrupt or attack the Platform without authorisation.
- Circumvent a suspension, identity check, eligibility rule or geographic restriction.
We may investigate suspected violations, preserve relevant records, restrict transactions, remove content, suspend accounts or report conduct to appropriate authorities where legally justified.
12. Suspension, restriction and account termination
We may issue warnings, impose feature restrictions, temporarily suspend accounts or permanently terminate access when reasonably necessary for policy enforcement, security, legal compliance or Platform integrity.
Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason for a restriction and provide a channel for appeal.
We may act without advance notice when immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect users, preserve evidence, prevent fraud or comply with a legal obligation.
Termination does not automatically extinguish valid outstanding financial obligations or a user’s rights under applicable law.
Upon account closure, eligible outstanding balances and positions will be handled under the applicable rules. Some transaction, security and compliance records may need to be retained after closure.
13. Intellectual property
The Platform’s software, branding, design, logos, original materials and other content owned by TPredMarket are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except where expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works from our protected materials without prior permission.
Third-party names, trademarks, market information and user content remain subject to their respective rights.
14. Third-party services
The Platform may integrate or link to third-party payment providers, identity-verification services, websites or other tools.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies and availability conditions. We are not responsible for every aspect of a third party’s independent service, although this does not exclude responsibilities that applicable law places on TPredMarket.
You should review relevant third-party terms before using an external service.
15. Service availability and changes
We aim to maintain a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or permanent availability of any particular feature.
We may update, maintain, suspend, replace or discontinue features for technical, commercial, security, legal or operational reasons.
Where a change materially affects a paid service or an existing user entitlement, we will handle it in accordance with the applicable agreement and law.
16. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided on an “as available” basis.
Market information, commentary and community content may be incomplete, delayed, mistaken or outdated. They should not be treated as a guarantee of an outcome or as professional financial, legal or other advice.
Nothing in these Terms guarantees that users will make money, that a market will resolve in their favour or that a service will always be available.
To the extent permitted by law, TPredMarket will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Platform. Any further limitation of liability must be interpreted consistently with mandatory legal protections.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
17. Privacy and personal information
Our Privacy Policy explains the categories of personal information we collect, how we use it, who may receive it, how long it may be retained and how you can exercise your rights.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed as described in that policy and under applicable data-protection law.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as our services, risks, legal obligations or business operations evolve.
We will publish the updated version and revise the “Last updated” date. Where legally required or appropriate for a material change, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree to a material change, you should stop using the affected service and follow the applicable account-closure procedure.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable Nigerian law and any mandatory laws applicable to users in other jurisdictions.
The precise governing-law, jurisdiction and dispute-resolution provisions remain subject to legal review, including the jurisdictions in which TPredMarket offers its services.
Nothing in this section prevents a user from exercising a non-waivable statutory right or bringing a complaint to a competent regulator.
